Zebras (Genre Drama / Pre Production)

Based on a true story.

While scouting for musical talent in Soweto, music producer PAUL KRIGE (Ryan Kwanten) discovers talent of another kind. A former star striker himself, upon encountering the brilliance of young soccer players in the ghetto, he's inspired to form a team dubbed "the zebras" that brings together black and white players.

Long divided by a savagely unjust system, Paul overcomes the herculean task of teaching sworn enemies to work together. However, when the zebras threaten to take the championship he learns his battles have only just begun, and the stakes he'll be playing for involve his very life.

Having become a symbol of black pride and racial harmony, the white powers that be intend to crush the zebras by any means necessary. Victory appears impossible, but Paul realizes failure isn't an option. Losing will mean losing something far greater than just a game.
